Kristinne and Carlo

The run of show

One very long Saturday

It starts at seven in the morning and finishes at about ten at night. Here is the whole of it, including the parts you are not expected to be awake for.

Carlo and Kristinne leaning towards each other in front of a white studio wall, both in blue.

Morning

Long before you see any of it

Hair, make-up and photographs, from seven in the morning. The entourage is called for half past eleven.

  1. 7:00 AM

    The day starts

Breakfast for Carlo and Kristinne and the people looking after them. The coordinator and the hair and make-up team arrive at half past.

  2. 8:30 AM

    Hair and make-up begins

The bride first, then the mothers and the groom, running continuously from here until the ceremony look in the afternoon.

  3. 10:30 AM

    The preparation shoot

The photographers and videographers arrive at ten and start with the details and the getting-ready frames. Bridal and groom portraits follow at eleven.

  4. 11:30 AM

    Entourage photographs

Team Bride and Team Groom, both at half past eleven. This is the call time for the wedding party, so please be in your outfit and ready by then rather than arriving at it.

  5. 12:00 NN

    Lunch

Eat properly now. The next real meal is a long way off.

Afternoon

Into the ceremony look

The change, the retouch, and one hour of enforced rest.

  1. 1:00 PM

    Into the ceremony look

The couple, the family and the entourage change and are retouched. Meanwhile the caterer, stylist and the sound and lighting teams take over the reception venue.

  2. 1:30 PM

    The pre-ceremony shoot

The last quiet frames before it all begins, then an hour of rest at half past two.

  3. 3:00 PM

    Final retouch

Everyone ready and waiting by half past three.

Ceremony

The part that counts

Please come early. This is the half hour they care about most.

  1. 3:00 PM

    Guests arrive

You are warmly welcome from three. The ushers will show you to your seat; the front rows are kept for the parents and the sponsors. The ceremony begins promptly at four.

  2. 4:00 PM

    The ceremony

Processional, vows, rings and the unity rites, led by Pastor Jomar. Then the pronouncement, the kiss, and the recessional.

In between

The gap, and why it is there

The photographs at the church take a while, and the reception is half an hour away in Rosario. The doors there open at six.

  1. 5:00 PM

    Photographs at the church

The family and entourage groupings, then the couple on their own. This is the part that takes longer than anyone expects, and it is worth it.

  2. 6:00 PM

    Everyone travels to the reception

The couple go ahead for the empty-hall photographs and their third look. The doors open to guests at six.

Reception

Then, the whole evening

The full running order, in the order your host will actually call it. It opens with everybody on their feet and it ends at about ten, with a proper three quarters of an hour in the middle for dinner.

Doors open
6:00 PM
Dinner is called
7:05 PM
Doors to goodnight
3 hours 50 minutes

Every time below is worked out from the six o'clock doors, so treat them as close rather than exact. A ceremony that runs long, or a room that will not stop dancing, moves everything after it. Nobody minds.

  1. 6:00 PM15 min

The doors open, and we dance

Everybody on their feet, ninongs and ninangs very much included. Erick leads it, the music plays, and whoever gives it the most wins the first photograph with Carlo and Kristinne.

  2. 6:15 PM5 min

    Welcome from your host

Erick opens the evening, and announces that there is a special game at the end with packages to be won.

  3. 6:20 PM5 min

    The parents

Introduced from where they are seated.

  4. 6:25 PM5 min

    The principal sponsors

The ninongs and ninangs, from where they are seated.

  5. 6:30 PM15 min

    The entourage comes in

By group: the secondary sponsors, the bearers, then Team Bride and Team Groom, each to their own song.

  6. 6:45 PM5 min

    Grand entrance

Carlo and Kristinne walk in as husband and wife for the first time. Phones up.

  7. 6:50 PM5 min

    The prayer

    Led by Mar Alen Alamo.

  8. 6:55 PM10 min

How well do you know them?

Ten trivia questions about the bride and groom, before anyone eats. The winners are first in line for dinner, with a photograph with the couple first.

  9. 7:05 PM45 min

    Dinner

Called table by table. Please eat well; there is a lot of evening left.

  10. 7:50 PM5 min

    The first dance

Their first dance as husband and wife.

  11. 7:55 PM15 min

    The prosperity dance

No pins, no envelopes, no props. Come up, hold them for a moment, whisper them a blessing, and dance a few steps with them. That is the whole tradition, done the way they want it.

  12. 8:10 PM10 min

Cake cutting, the wine toast, and everyone sings

Carlo and Kristinne slice the cake, blow out the candle and raise their glasses while the whole room sings Panalangin to them. You are not an audience for this one, so please do sing.

  13. 8:20 PM10 min

    The toasts

The best man and the maid of honour, in that order. Bring tissues.

  14. 8:30 PM10 min

    A word from loved ones

Short messages for the couple from the people closest to them.

  15. 8:40 PM10 min

    The parents speak

The two mothers first, then the two fathers.

  16. 8:50 PM10 min

    Dance with the parents

Kristinne with her father, then Carlo with his mother.

  17. 9:00 PM10 min

    The bouquet game

Sinulid at karayom for the single ladies. The first to thread the needle takes the bouquet.

  18. 9:10 PM5 min

    The garter

    Carlo does the honours.

  19. 9:15 PM10 min

    The Cinderella game

The single gentlemen lose a shoe, then race to find it. The last one back is Mr Bachelor and gets the garter.

  20. 9:25 PM5 min

    The winners' game

The bouquet and garter winners copy whatever the couple do. Nobody is warned in advance.

  21. 9:30 PM10 min

    Guess the song

The last game, for five players, with packages to be won. Trips, of a sort.

  22. 9:40 PM5 min

Thank you, from Carlo and Kristinne

The two of them say their piece, and they mean every word of it.

  23. 9:45 PM5 min

    Goodnight

Erick closes the evening, and then we send them off properly.

Your host

Erick is running the evening

He is both the best man and the host, which is two jobs, so a separate on-the-day coordinator is being assigned for everything that is not a microphone.

The running order below is his, so if you are giving a toast, reading, performing or leading the prayer, speak to him well before the day rather than on the night. He would much rather move something than surprise you with it.

Tell them you are coming

The programme comes together far more easily once the couple know who will be there.

Kindly reply by 5 October 2026.
